Coming out of late Winter and heading into early Spring has us craving slow moments like those enjoyed by cozying up with a blanket by the fire, and so much more.
I’m always longing for slow and lingering, inspiration filled moments. Whether that’s a slow Saturday morning or a break after work before you jump into dinner and the to do list, they are never far off. If you have a small corner or space, you can create your own cozy nook and have your “go to” spot to breathe.
While you’re waiting for Spring, I’m here to offer a few tips to keep yourself from getting cabin fever. It’s the perfect time to do a little refresh of your space! With a bit of your weekend, you can transform any corner of your house into an escape. This peaceful space will energize you, and the best part – you don’t need a lot of room to accomplish it.
A great place to start is choosing an area that you can refresh. I chose a corner nook at the back of my living room in my small apartment. Below I’ve outlined some key elements to take into consideration as a starting place:
Key Elements:
- Rug
- Bench
- Coffee/tea
- Magazine
- Window
- Bright curtains
- Art
- Greenery
Overall, focus on your walls & windows. Anything else you love and add to the space or corner will provide the relaxing vibe and inspiration you want.
Head over to the C&B blog for 4 simple focus areas as a “how to” to create your own. I hope you feel inspired to make this your weekend project!
