Just recently, Eva and I hosted a Floral Design + Edible Flowers Workshop! We had such a lovely time and enjoyed spending the day with such an amazing group of ladies. The event felt extra special as several of the gals brought their moms to join us, including Eva and Sara’s mom’s who co hosted the workshop with us! I was wishing my mom was closer so she could have joined us as well! Hoping for next year !
We started the class by serving fresh brewed chemex, featuring Heart Coffee Roasters Ethiopian coffee alongside some tasty lavender lemon cream scones. We also had fresh fruit and a lavender coriander compound butter for the scones (it was to die for). After meeting everyone, we then candied edible flowers around the table together! I’ve never done this before but it was so easy and so fun. We brushed edible flowers with egg whites and then sprinkled them with fine baking sugar and allowed them to dry for a few hours. In the meantime, Sara taught us how to make our own floral wreaths, which everyone was able to take home at the end of the day with all the rest of their take home gifts.
We then enjoyed lunch, every dish having an infusion of some type of floral essence. After lunch, we then decorated mini orange blossom butter cakes with edible florals! It was the best day, and all our guests left with a pile of gifts : Anthropologie vases, Heirloomed tea towels and recipe cards, Smith Tea, Heart Coffee + the wreaths they made and mini cake.
We’d love to have you with us for our next workshop happening July 16th on gardening! You can see all the class details at the below link!
