It’s hard to believe it’s already been a couple of weeks since September’s Secret Supper that took place at the base of Mt. Hood on Andrea and Taylor’s Tumbleweed Farm. It was just such a beautiful evening and the setting combined with our lovely guests made it a night to remember.
If you haven’t noticed already via social media, I’ve recently jumped into the world of film photography and it’s completely rocked my world! I’m still learning a lot about it, but it’s just been the most exciting journey of experimenting with lighting, film types, etc… I find it quite rewarding as well, being that I am carrying on in my late Father’s steps. He originally started out with film photography back in the 60’s and his work has been an inspiration.

My family recently went through his photography collection and found several film cameras, including his very first camera and the renowned Hasselblad camera. I instantly called dibs before my siblings had a chance (sneaky, I know) and the rest is history.

This dinner was the first event I’ve hosted since starting to shoot with film and I was really excited for the opportunity and thrilled with the results. I shot with a Minolta SRT 101 and used Portra 800 for this event. I hope you enjoy looking through the shots- the high grain is pretty fun in the outdoor setting.

Also, if you missed last week’s post featuring the digital collection of this event, make sure to check it out! There’s much more to see, and you’ll get a chance to view the menu ( it was insanely delicious! ).
